About Me
Madeleine Alldis

I was brought up in a family of professional musicians, so music has always been integral to my life. I have played the piano and violin, and sung in choirs, since the age of five.

I studied at Cambridge University up to Masters Level, obtaining a First Class degree (2001) and scholarships for each level of study. While there I performed on the piano and recorded and toured with a Cambridge choir, performing across the UK, USA and France (where venues included Notre-Dame, Sacré Cœur, Reims Cathedral & Caen Cathedral).

After leaving university, I trained in piano teaching with the European Piano Teachers Association, gaining a Distinction in Piano Pedagogy (CPPed, 2003), as well as an advanced diploma in Piano Performance.

I have over 10 years of teaching experience with piano students of all ages and abilities. I enjoy teaching a wide variety of material, ranging from the great classics to more contemporary music, including pop and jazz.

I am active as a performer on the piano, keyboard and bass, having played on several recordings and at a number of jazz venues, concert halls, theatres and arts centres around the UK and abroad. In addition, I have worked as producer on many recordings and compose music for piano.

I am passionate about the piano and embrace the challenge of tailoring my teaching approach to every student.

"Madeleine is a very gifted teacher and musician. She skilfully tuned into my learning style, aptitude and aspirations and adapted her teaching methods to best support me."
